This beautiful footed bowl has a beautiful raw finish and two strings of wooden beads as a detail around the base. The bowl measures 5" high (about 2" of that is the foot, so the bowl itself has a wide, shallow shape perfect for fruit) and measures 12" in diameter at the lip. The wood has all kinds of variation in grain, with 2 knots (one in the bowl and one on the outside edge of the lip - see photos) and though these knots are visible, they are perfectly smooth to the touch. I don't know who manufactured this bowl, but it was made in India. The beads around the foot are separate from the base (not carved into it) but are tight enough that you can't spin them. This bowl is in great vintage/used condition, with no chips, cracks, or other damage. There may be some very light signs of wear in the form of scuffing and light scratching, but it's hard to tell what is wear and what is just the varied texture of the wood. Please look at photos and video to see more info about appearance, size, and condition. I don't know what type of wood this is, but it is heavy and sturdy. Such a unique and beautiful bowl that would be perfect to display foot or other treasures!
