This beautiful bowl has a soft, diamond shape with rough hewn texture and visible carving marks. It has an integrated handle that complements its unique shape and style. This bowl would be great to display fruit or serve snacks. I don't know what kind of wood it is, and it doesn't contain a makers mark or sticker to say when or where it was made. The bowl measures 11 1/2 inches long and 7 3/4 inches wide, and stands just under 2 inches high. It has two deep parallel carved lines on the bottom - maybe this is the artist's signature?! This bowl is in great vintage/used condition, with no chips, cracks or other damage. Only very slight wear, scuffing consistent with age and use. It has a beautiful color and grain, and has been freshly conditioned with food-grade cutting board oil.
