This vintage domed butter dish has an oval shape and is made of brightly glazed hand painted ceramic. There is a vibrant bird design on both sides of the lid, and the wings come together to made the knob. The butter dish measures about 4" high with the lid on, and the base measures about 7.5" by 4.5". There are floral and leaf designs on the base. It is printed on the bottom that the design is called "La Paloma" and it was made by Pelzman Designs 2003. This butter keeper is in good but not perfect vintage/used condition, with some visible wear on the wing "knob". It looks like the glaze has just worn or chipped off a tiny bit. Inside the lid there is some discoloration of the glaze as well. Please look at photos for more information about the appearance and condition of this item - I have tried to show the flaws clearly, but overall this butter dish is still really pretty and has lots of good use left in it! This vintage dish is so unique and simply beautiful!
