*SOLD* This antique abacus is made of black lacquered wood with maroon/red wooden beads on wooden dowels. There are decorative gold metal pieces protecting the corners. This abacus measures 9 1/2 inches by 4 1/2 inches, and can be displayed either standing on end or on its side. It stands up either way. This item is in good vintage/used condition, with some wear that lends it a slightly distressed look. All of the beads move freely on their dowels. There is no structural damage to the piece - everything is sturdy inside of the sturdy frame. There are a couple of beads that have some color loss. Please look carefully at the photos to see condition of this abacus. All of the metal decorations are secure and in good condition. A beautiful piece to decorate a study or office bookshelf!
