*SOLD* It's hard to capture the beauty of this ceramic gecko figurine in photos! The glazing is multi-layered including both blue and tan glazes, very shiny and nuanced, with gold details on the tips of the toes, the eyes, and the nostrils. The underbelly of this little guy is a black, very soft velvety material. This figure comes in its original satin-lined box, which includes information about the 8-step firing process, as well as that this piece was manufactured in Dehua, "one of the fine ceramic capitals of Asia" for 3,000 years. This little lizard measures about 5 inches long. It is in great vintage/used condition, with no chips, cracks, or damage. There is one tip of a toe where the black velvet has worn off, but I don't believe it is damaged, just worn. Please see photos for condition and description. This is a whimsical, unique little piece that would make a great gift for wildlife lovers or ceramic collectors!
