This is a beautiful and intriguing stoneware platter! The main glazing is a rustic, speckled tan color, with the rose and leaf designs that are a smoother and more glassy texture. There are small spots on the surface and edges that look like chips but they are all original and fully intact and glazed. The overall effect is a sort of rustic imperfectness encased in bright, shiny glaze that is really gorgeous! The platter is quite heavy, and measures 12 inches in diameter. This is a vintage/used item, but I do not see any actual damage or wear to it beyond what I have already described, which is all original. No chips or cracks.
