Silver Nambe Modern Oval Oblong Serving Platter

*SOLD* This is a Nambe brand platter with a cool, modern offset oval shape. It is marked on the back with Nambe Classic 691 and the year 1999. These were apparently made with a special 8-metal alloy created by Nambe to look like silver without tarnishing. I have tried polishing up this platter to no avail, and have since learned that they have a special Nambe polishing solution, so that might make this dish shine again. As it is, it has some weird problems with the finish - it looks like water spots but they don't come off. There are also some scuff marks and light scratches, but nothing is deep so I believe it would all buff out if a person knew how to treat this surface. This is a nice heavy, quality product. There is no damage to the platter in the way of dents, deep scratches, gouges, or cracks. I tried to show everything in the photos as far as the current condition and patina. This is a very striking dish that could become your next favorite heirloom serving piece!
